Corrosion Resistance
E28-2 steel exhibits moderate resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Like all carbon steels, it can corrode when exposed to moisture, salt water, or certain chemical environments.
To improve its durability, it is recommended to apply:
- Galvanization
- Industrial paint
- Epoxy coating
- Powder coating
These protective measures are particularly recommended for installations located in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Libya , where coastal environments can accelerate corrosion.
